My advice to law firms is to ask questions of their associates, try to understand the issues facing LGBT employees, be supportive of their community activities, ensure that they are receiving proper feedback and social opportunities.


I did have frustrations with the diversity committee. It often seemed that they did not consider LGBT individuals to be minorities.
